Dear Friends:

Life continues to be adventure! We look forward to the future and making the most of every moment.

We value investing in experiences as a family. The past two years we took advantage of time at home to build a huge LEGO model of the Disney World Magic Kingdom…one of our favorite places to be.

It took up much of our basement…until it finally was dismantled to make way for celebrating Arianna’s Hawaiian themed high school graduation party in the spring of 2022.

After planning the Legacy Back to the Future Prom 2021, Brenda and I were asked to produce Prom 2022 for the school with a Top Secret/James Bond theme. Ari and Bri both went to prom with dates looking all grown up. This year we produced the Legacy school Prom 2023 with a Star Wars theme with Bri attending as a junior. Arianna came back as Rey and worked in the cantina…so it was a real family event.

Since Brenda and I spent our honeymoon in Florida 20 years ago, it has been a dream to have a vacation home there. We love escaping to the warm weather during the winter to make family memories. In 2022 we made this dream a reality and now have a place we’re calling the “Lelani Beach Club” located in the Hawaiian themed Windsor Island Resort just minutes from Disney World.

We spent our first night there on air mattresses over Spring break 2022. Then we returned for a full month in June painting, installing trim/electrical, putting up decor, and getting furniture so we can now rent out the home when we aren’t there. It was quite a challenge to get everything setup with supply chain issues. After a lot of work we hosted our first guests over Thanksgiving in November. Our furniture that we ordered in April finally arrived December 16 and looks great.

We trust that this home will provide joy and happiness with special memories for many people including our family and friends as it has for us already. The Lelani Beach Club website has details on this 8 bedroom 6 bath home with a private pool. If you’re planning a trip to Orlando or Disney World give us a call and we can help you plan a successful vacation. It’s fun to dream and talk about this happy place.

We spent Christmas 2022 in Florida with our friends and family. One highlight was the Candlelight Processional at Disney’s Epcot Center that has now become a tradition for us. This inspirational event includes a reading of the Christmas story accompanied by a full orchestra and choir.

Our team at LuminFire continues to work hard building brilliant technology business solutions like custom apps, websites, and software integration projects. We are happy to be back in the office a few of days a week after working from home for too long. LuminFire is active in the Claris FileMaker, Laravel, WordPress, and Apple communities. We were honored with the Claris Excellence Humanitarian Award for how we helped organizations through the pandemic. We’ve updated our popular list of the best FREE Tech gifts.

I’m active in the National Speaker Association and perform my magic and juggling occasionally for special events. Friends get together once in a while to juggle…

I also enjoy playing piano/trumpet. I’ve had the recent opportunity to rehearse with the Twin Cities Trumpet Ensemble and Roseville Big Band and it was a blast. I joined the International Trumpet Guild and attended their annual convention in Minneapolis. I got the privilege to play the national anthem at the Minnesota Twins baseball game with 110 other trumpets!

It’s been a Star Wars year with the Star Wars themed prom, LuminFire May the 4th celebration, our Star Wars room build, and an unforgettable family voyage on the Halcyon Starcruiser!

Arianna is now 19 years old and Brielle is 17. They continue to amaze us and bring us joy as a family. Arianna completed her senior year of high school by taking college classes at Bethel University. She played trombone in the jazz band and was honored to perform the lead role of Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls at the beginning of 2022 despite much of the cast battling COVID. Then Arianna made Bethel her home studying software engineering, communications, project management, and business. She lived on campus and played volleyball as a Bethel Royal in the fall 2022. Then she moved home and completed her associates degree this spring 2023. We took a daddy-daughter college visit trip to Birmingham, Alabama and Charleston, South Carolina that was quite the adventure but she found the schools we visited were not the right fit for her.

Arianna applied and got accepted into the Disney College Program and moved to Orlando in June 2023 for a work internship at Disney World while completing her bachelors degree through online classes with Grand Canyon University (GCU). Her assignment is at Hollywood Studios Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge front of house at the Cantina! Her dream is to eventually become an imagineer and work for Disney in some creative technical capacity. She’s sharing her experience on Instagram and Facebook. Arianna has decided to stay in Florida and got a home where she is living with a few roommates.

Brielle will be a senior in high school and a captain on the volleyball team at Legacy in the fall. Getting her drivers license was exciting and she’s on the move spending lots of time with friends as well as her job as a nanny this summer. She’s also volunteering in the kids area at church.

The 2022 volleyball season ended with Legacy placing first in their conference again and second in their section. We were really proud of Brielle for displaying some great plays, leadership moments, persistence in the face of injuries, and excellent sportsmanship at the final game. They are a fairly new team after losing four seniors on the starting roster last year. The 2023 season brought another conference champion for Legacy. The road to the state tournament started out very promising they ended it abruptly with a very close loss.

Brenda and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary on December 27th with dinner and fireworks at Topolino’s (“Mickey Mouse” in Italian) restaurant.

The time has gone by too quickly. It was the best decision I made in my life to marry Brenda. We’re such great partners.

With challenging news in the world we put our trust in God and know that we will be OK. Andy Stanley from North Point reminded us that “Uncertainty is unavoidable. Fear is optional.” Eagle Brook has also some excellent helpful messages. We are so thankful for our friends and family. We encourage you to follow on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter where we share photos and thoughts throughout the year.

We wish you all blessings and success. If you’re in the Minneapolis area or heading to Orlando, Florida, give us a call. We’d love to visit with you at our home, office, or vacation home. Enjoy every special moment with those that you love.

Tim, Brenda, Arianna, and Brielle Cimbura
