Dear Friends:
Life continues to be quite the adventure! We look forward to the future and making the most of every moment. We value investing in experiences as a family and relationships with friends.
We are now living in Orlando, Florida! It’s been quite a lot of work and long transition to move from Minnesota over the last year. I had imagined retiring in Florida. However, after losing loved ones over the past few years, we’ve realized how uncertain life can be, so we decided to accelerate our plans while we are still working. We built a home in Winter Garden and moved in at the end of April. It’s about 30 minutes from our rental vacation home and 20 minutes from Disney World.
Work
Our team at LuminFire continues to work hard building custom apps, websites, and brilliant business technology solutions. LuminFire is active in the Claris FileMaker, Laravel, WordPress, and Apple communities. We were honored with the Claris Excellence Humanitarian Award for how we helped organizations through the pandemic. Our team is growing and we have added new team members around the US. We have some good opportunities to expand LuminFire’s business in Florida.
Play
I continue perform my magic and juggling entertainment for occasional special events. I also love to play piano and trumpet. I’m now playing trumpet regularly with CFCArts Big Band. Here’s our fall concert performed at the Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Orlando.
Arianna
Arianna is now 21 years old. She completed her bachelors degree in applied technology through Grand Canyon University (GCU). She is working as a photographer in the Disney World Magic Kingdom and on her own. Her goal is to work full-time as an imagineer for Disney in some creative technical or entertainment capacity. She’s sharing her experiences on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Arianna is living with several roommates nearby in Florida. She enjoys time with her boyfriend Nate.
Brielle
Brielle is 19 years old and graduated with her Associates degree from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. She’s now continuing her education remotely with GCU while living at home studying sales/marketing while she works as a nanny/dog sitter and at Pacsun in Winter Garden, Florida. Brielle’s boyfriend Finn is long distance at Gustavus College in Minnesota but they visit each when they can. Bri’s TikTok is here.
Brenda and Tim
Brenda and I celebrate our 23 year anniversary on December 27th. The time has gone by so quickly. We love to create new things together and celebrate special times at DisneyWorld and nearby resorts.

Conclusion
With challenging news in the world we continue put our trust in God and know that things will work out. Andy Stanley from North Point says that “Uncertainty is unavoidable. Fear is optional.” We find it still difficult to put into practice. Recently, we saw a movie where the main character was in peril and got asked “Aren’t you worried?”. His reply was “Would it help?” I guess not…so we try to stay calm. What if it all works out? Eagle Brook has also some excellent helpful messages of wisdom.
